The Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for performing routine inspection procedures at CBI Laboratories. The inspector shall follow Standard Operating Procedures during the performance of duties and complete the required documentation to be report accurately and within specified time frames. The inspector will complete all assigned tasks per 21 CFR part 210 and 211 cGMP requirements and in compliance with the Quality System. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00pm.

Essential Job Functions

 

  • Inspect Incoming raw materials and packaging components for conformance to specifications.
  • Inspects/tests as per ANSI/ASQ Z 1.4 and material specifications.
  • Completes documentation of inspection/testing results; generates a notice of approval form when product/component is released, updates the status, and label accordingly.
  • Reviews documentation for cGMP compliance and accuracy; generated final notice of approval for release of product, updates the status, and label accordingly.
  • Maintains accurate status of product/components being tested and released in ERP system, reports the results of testing.
  • Perform daily cGMP inspections of the operation suites and facility.
  • Track and manage retains for finished goods.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workplace. 

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • No Quality Assurance experience necessary.
  • General experience in a FDA regulated industry desired and very helpful but not required.
  • Experience working with an ERP system.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish would a plus.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines. Ability to partner with appropriate departments.
  • Dependable with very strong work ethic.
  • Excellent attention to details in quality of work.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment.
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to work with MS Office
  • Must be able to work occasional overtime and weekend hours as needed or required.
  • Pass drug screening and Background check
