Our Automotive business is comprised of the Prestone® and Holts® businesses. We develop, manufacture and market antifreeze/coolant and other automotive functional fluids and car appearance products in North America and key international markets. Prestone® is the number one branded consumer choice for antifreeze/coolant in North America. Other brands in our Automotive Care business include Holts®, Redex® and Simoniz® (outside North America).

 

Prestone organization (Division of KIK Corporation) is seeking an experienced Maintenance/Blow Molding Mechanic to join our Alsip, IL location.  Individual must have a minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience with a demonstrated expertise in the manufacturing processes including hands-on maintenance, repair and trouble shooting of blow-molding equipment, auxiliary equipment, filling station experience, and packaging equipment.  Scheduled shift is 3:45 p.m. till 11:45 p.m. Training period on both day and midnight shift will be required to provide effective training.

Essential Job Functions

  • High level of maintenance experience and hands-on operation of blow molding machinery – 9 to 12 unit stations – hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Welding, fabricating, and machining experience
  • Electrical experience with schematics, AC/DC, motor controls, and systems
  • PLC programming – Allen Bradley
  • Experience in maintaining auxiliary equipment – grinders, feeders, chillers, silo loader equipment, filling line equipment, compressors, and unitizers
  • Able to operator forklifts, man-lifts, and cranes
  • Maintain proper PM maintenance schedules for equipment
  • Ability to work overtime and support other shifts and positions
  • Proactive action and maintenance of safe work environment
  • Provide training and support for operators and co-workers
  • Ability to work alternating shifts for training purposes
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED

Qualifications

  • Apply knowledge and solve problems pertaining to a variety of mechanical and production problems.
  • Strong mathematical and reading skills required. Able to fill out forms completely, read technical manuals and schematics.
  • Strong technical, mechanical, and problem solving skill set
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Able to work with Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to work overtime and alternate shifts when required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be eligible for employment in the US
  • Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written for providing information to co-workers and supervisors regarding equipment and process recommendations.
