KIK Consumer Brands – Pool Division

 

KIK’s Pool Additives Division (“Pool”) is a leading player in North America and key international markets with a broad brand and product portfolio spanning both the Mass and Specialty Retailer channels. We are well known for our Clorox®Pool&Spa products in the North American Mass channel, our BioGuard® brand in the North American, Australian and South Africa Specialty channel, and our Bayrol brand across Europe. Our multi-functional product formulations and innovative water testing innovations allow pool owners to safely and easily enjoy their backyard retreat.

 

KIK Consumer Brands – Household Division

 

Our Household Division (“Household”) is the #1 player in North American private label bleach, and supplies private label cleaning programs to prominent American retailers. Although Household started as a small bleach plant in Concord, Ontario, we have since expanded to a network of 8 plants strategically located across the United States to efficiently manufacture a variety of cleaners for both hard and soft surfaces. In addition to its private label portfolio, Household manufactures and markets Greased Lighting® and The Works® branded products.

 

We are currently seeking an experienced Production Supervisor at our Conyers, Georgia manufacturing facility that will report directly to the Plant Operations Manager. This is a second shift position.

 

 

Essential Job Functions

The Production Supervisor's responsibilities include achieving adherence of daily packaging line schedule, including line standard rates, labor efficiencies, product quality, overall GMP/Housekeeping and employee safety. You will be accountable for your shift's overall line preparation to run, including coordination of line mechanical set-ups, product supply from Compounding, material supply from leads and warehousing that meets scheduled line start-up. This individual must be outgoing, high energy, and technically talented with strong leadership skills and abilities. Strengths must include communication, coaching, and mentoring skills; and the ability to promote and enhanced employee relations.

 

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for supervising activities of production lines to achieve production rates that meet or exceed standards (including efficient changeovers)
  • Responsible for the training and performance management of team members to ensure that each line is staffed with qualified and motivated individuals
  • Ensure the identification of product quality problems and implementation of corrective actions
  • Utilize theory of constraints or lean manufacturing techniques to evaluate and manage production counts, machine speeds, scrap and downtime to drive reliability to desired levels
  • Record and report accurate production counts, machine speeds, scrap counts, line down time, and other data as directed by Production Manager
  • Ensure adequate supply of materials (skid tickets, skid records, gloves) (staging and destaging)
  • Responsible for using correct product labor/speed standard
  • Enforce all GMP’s, Safety and Environmental regulations as well as company policies
  • Ensure the accurate and timely completion of paperwork
  • Able to meet deadlines to deliver production requirements (Flexible work schedule)
  • Must be driven with a desire to progress through promotion

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree - Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred

  • 3 - 5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment (beverage, food, plastic)
  • Experience with chemical production and/or filling lines
  • Experienced with mechanic preventative maintenance systems
  • Packaging production supervision is an asset
  • Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Customer focused; Must be flexible in dealing with others in the organization, and with work assignments/projects
  • Good problem solving skills, strong Leadership abilities
  • Good organizational skills. Strong computer skills in the use of Excel (intermediate user) and Word.
  • Awareness of Industrial Safety Issues
  • Must be able to demonstrate clear understanding and utilization of Lean Manuafcturing Principles, 5s and Continuous Improvement Projects.
